Orthopaedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. Dr. Rosenberg obtained his medical degree in 1978 from Albany Medical College and completed his residency at Rush University Medical Center in orthopaedics in 1983, followed by his fellowship in adult reconstruction/oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Rosenberg began independent clinical practice at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois in 1984 specializing in hip and knee joint replacement surgery.  He is a professor,  senior attending & Emeritus Director of the Adult Reconstructive Orthopaedic Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and  the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
